A new Korean restaurant is slated to open within the next weeks at 7137 Little River Turnpike, in the spot formerly occupied by Ara Fusion Restaurant.
The new place will be called Ara Kitchen and Lounge, says the owner, Mina Cho.
The menu will have traditional Korean dishes, like bibimbap, bulgogi, and galbi – plus some less-common items. The bar will offer craft cocktails with a Korean twist. The new Ara will have seven private karaoke rooms, a bar, and three private seating areas. It will be open daily 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cho, the owner of the EZ-Way Mart grocery store in Woodbridge, says her short-term goal is to renovate the old Ara space. Her long-term goal is to make the new restaurant a landmark for Annandale.
