Pupusas Express to take over old Quizno's spot

Pupusas Express is coming to the former Quizno’s space in the Annandale Shopping Center.

In addition to traditional Salvadoran pupusas, the menu features carne asada, fajitas, burritos, tacos, and Salvadoran soups, among other Tex-Mex and American fare.

Owner Lorenzo Guevara hopes to open the restaurant in two or three months, at 7042 Columbia Pike, Annandale.

It will be the fourth Pupusas Express in Northern Virginia. Guevara opened the first one in Herndon in 2015, followed up with a location in Manassas in 2017, and one on Richmond Highway in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County in late 2019.

Pupusa Express offers delivery, take-out, and dine-in options. It will be open for lunch and dinner.
