Updates proposed to Bren Mar Park Master Plan

The Fairfax County Park Authority is proposing some changes to the Master Plan for Bren Mar Park to accommodate the acquisition of a one-acre parcel earlier this year. 

The 32.4-acre park is located in Mason District between Edsall Road and the Turkeycock Stream Valley.


The Park Authority proposes to update the park’s 2013 Master Plan to relocate a picnic shelter and additional parking area, both of which have not yet been built, on the newly acquired parcel. A house on that property will be torn down.

The revised Master Plan is expected to be finalized in February 2018. Public comments on the update must be received by Jan. 12. Comments can be submitted online or sent to Parkmail@fairfaxcounty.gov.
