The post office at the Seven Corners shopping center was robbed by two men shortly after 11 a.m. this morning, according to a spokesperson with the Fairfax County Police Department.
One of the suspects jumped on the postal counter and demanded money from a 55-year-old female employee. The other suspect displayed a handgun and stood near an exit inside the building. They escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, although they could have had a car parked nearby. A police helicopter and K9 units failed to apprehend them. The investigation is continuing with assistance from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
