A Lebanese restaurant and hookah bar called Café Fumeé is set to open at 7250 Columbia Pike in central Annandale. The co-owners, Khali Dib and Hussein Zein, hope the place could open by April 1, although it looks like there's still a lot of work that needs to be done inside.

It will be a fast-casual restaurant offering coffee drinks, such as cappuccino and espresso, and sandwiches on the first floor and a hookah bar on the rooftop terrace. Eventually, Lebanese specialties will be added to the menu. Dib and Zein are not planning to serve alcohol.

Café Fumeé will be open 10 a.m.-2 on weekdays and 10 a.m.-4 a.m. on weekends. There will be seating for 80 to 100 people. Zein says the place will offer a chill, relaxed atmosphere.

The building is on the site of the former Sunset Grille, which closed in 2012. A new building was constructed on that site in 2014. There were plans for a new restaurant there, but the plans fell through and that space has remained vacant since then. The other side of the building is occupied by New York Pizza Factory, which recently expanded.
