A pedestrian was struck and killed by truck in the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Braddock Road shortly before 8 p.m. on Feb. 2, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.
The pedestrian, a female about 60 to 70 years old, was crossing Little River Turnpike from north to south outside of the crosswalk and was wearing a dark jacket and no reflective clothing.
A preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a 2002 Ford F150, 59-year-old male, had a green light and turned right onto eastbound Little River Turnpike from Braddock Road when he struck the pedestrian. The driver remained on the scene.
