Child sexually assaulted in Annandale church

The Fairfax County Police Department’s weekend crime report includes the sexual assault of a child at a church.

On Nov. 27, a 12-year-old reported a man forced her into the kitchen at Cornerstone Church at 3901 Gallows Road, Annandale, and touched her inappropriately. Church members told the child’s parents, and police were called.

The suspect, George Bol, 47, of Falls Church was charged with abduction and aggravated sexual battery. The victim did not require medical attention.

In other crime news, detectives from the FCPD’s robbery squad in the Major Crime Division made in an arrest in the Oct. 27 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank at 7620 Little River Turnpike. Travis Porter, 23, was arrested at his home in Annandale on Nov. 22.
