Audience members invited on stage during rainstorm. |
About 20 30 people remained and crowded onto the wings of the stage while the Kelztet traded electric instruments for safer options and played on, mixing in some rain-appropriate numbers with traditional and contemporary pieces.
The free concert series continues at Mason District Park with Gypsy jazz by the John Jorgenson Quintet tonight and the Capitol Steps’ political humor show on Sunday, July 14. Both of those shows start at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, 10 a.m., there’s a children’s show (Paul Hadfield “General Foolishness”), and that evening, it’s Bulgarian Cultural Night at Ossian Hall Park, 7:30.
If it starts raining before the show starts, it will probably be cancelled. Call 703-324-7469 before heading out.
