The apartment building on Route 50 in Seven Corners is projected to be completed in spring 2017. It will have 171 apartments, including a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den, and two bedroom-plus-den units, says Eric Fenton, a vice president at the Bozzuto Group, which acquired the property from the JBG Cos.

It will also have 18 three-story rental townhouses attached to the building. They will be accessible from front doors facing South Street and from the underground parking garage serving the apartments. They will have front porches but won’t have backyards or private garages.

The project includes just under 15,000 square feet of retail. Fenton would like to attract businesses that serve the neighborhood, such as a restaurant or coffee shop and convenience retail.

The building will have a swimming pool, fitness center, and club room. The project management will provide a shuttle to the East Falls Church Metro station during peak rush hours. Bozzuto hasn’t yet announced the project’s name.

Meanwhile, the hotel next door, a Hampton Inn & Suites, could open as early as March 2016, reports the West of Falls Church blog. It will have 159 room, an indoor pool, business center, fitness center, and meeting room.
