The Annandale Firehouse on Columbia Pike. |
Enjoy an all-you-can-eat crab legs and spiced shrimp feast while helping the Annandale and Bailey’s Crossroads volunteer fire departments raise funds to help keep the community safe.
The seafood fest is Sunday, Oct. 25, 2-5 p.m., in the social hall at the Annandale firehouse at 7128 Columbia Pike, Annandale. There will be a silent auction, raffle drawings, and door prizes – plus the football game on large-screen TVs.
In addition to steamed Alaska crab legs and spiced shrimp, the menu includes corn on the cob, coleslaw, hushpuppies, and hot dogs. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and desserts will be available for purchase.
It’s $40 per person and $15 for kids age 6-12. Kids under 6 are free. After Oct. 21, the tickets will be $50 per adult and $20 per child. Tickets can be purchased online or in person, cash only, at the bingo games on Monday and Thursday evenings in the social hall at the Columbia Pike station.
Funds raised will be used to maintain the two fire stations – Company 8 on Columbia Pike and Company 23 on Little River Turnpike – operated by the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department. The AVFD is responsible for 100 percent of the building costs, six pieces of firefighting apparatus, and other equipment. The AVFD also provides emergency and medical services to the community, public safety awareness, and coverage at local events, such as Annandale High School football games.
Proceeds will also help the Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department purchase fire and medical apparatus, carry out public safety initiatives, and provide emergency medical services.
